Salary: Up to $140,000pa

We are seeking a motivated, self-driven, and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. Our clinic offers a wide range of health services, catering to both private patients and a significant cohort of DVA (Department of Veterans’ Affairs) clients. Key Duties:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological therapies, including trauma-based psychotherapy, to individuals dealing with a range of mental health issues, particularly focusing on veterans, PTSD, and chronic pain.
  • Utilise EMDR techniques where appropriate (if trained), to support clients in overcoming trauma-related symptoms.
  • Work closely with other allied health professionals and GPs within the clinic to ensure a holistic approach to client care, including inter-referring clients to other modalities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients, fostering a supportive and safe environment for their treatment journey.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of group therapy programs, workshops, or other mental health initiatives within the clinic.
  • Provide specialised care and support to veterans, understanding the unique challenges they face and offering tailored interventions.

Essential Criteria:

  • Full Registration with AHPRA
  • Clinical Endorsement
  • Eligibility for Medicare provider registration
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance and ABN (for contractors)
  • Experience in veteran’s health, PTSD presentations, and chronic pain management
  • Proficiency in trauma-based psychotherapy
  • Experience with EMDR (highly desirable)
  • Familiarity with Better Access, DVA, EAP, and WorkCover (highly desirable)
  • Availability to work Saturdays (highly desirable)
