Position: Consultant Psychiatrist

Location: Perth

Days: 2 days per week

Duration: Starting September until February 2025

About the Team: The Older Adult Mental Health Program provides services for older adults suffering from Psychiatric disorder complicated by physical conditions of aging such as physical frailty, degenerative illness or dementia; Dementia complicated by severe behavioural disturbance;Newly arising psychiatric conditions in persons 65 years and older.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for older adult patients.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and contribute to the development of innovative care strategies.

Requirements:

• RANZCP fellowship
• Experience in working with older adult populations, including expertise in managing complex psychiatric conditions.
• Strong communication and team work
