Cornerstone Medical Recruitment is seeking General Practitioners and Rural Generalist for multiple Locum opportunities in South Australia.

THE ROLE

  • Shared on call roster
  • Generally, only 2 days of on call through the week
  • RATE: $2000 per day (including Super) + GST if applicable if ongoing commitment possible increase 
  • Travel, accommodation and hire car costs covered

CONSULTATION TIMES & HOSPITAL ROUNDS

GP Clinic 1
Hospital rounds conducted from 0800 – 0900 by the rostered GP (and detailed in the appointment book).
Consulting hours are 0900 – 1700 (5 days per week)
Medication charts may be required to be reviewed and completed over the weekend when on-call during your placement.
  
GP Clinic 2
Hospital rounds conducted from 0800 – 0900 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Consulting hours are 0900 to 1700 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Virtual hospital round via phone call is conducted on Monday & Friday between 0900 – 1000 by the on call doctor. 

GP Clinic 3
Hospital rounds  conducted from 0800 – 0900 by the rostered GP (and detailed in the appointment book).
Consulting hours are 0900 – 1700 (5 days per week)

Hospital only 
The region currently provides a GP hospital and on call service only.
Virtual hospital round via phone call is conducted Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 0900 – 1000 by the on call doctor.
Hospital/Hostel site visit is currently attended on Wednesday’s from 0900 – 1200.

THE LOCATIONS

It encompasses 3 Local Health Network practices.
An on call GP service is provided to the 4 small local District Hospitals.

Location 1
Primarily a service town for outlying farms, it has preserved its rich farming heritage with impressive wall murals around town and in permanent outdoor displays of everything from a dray to the council’s first grader. It has all major shops, varied accommodation and great country sports facilities including the 18 hole golf course running along a creek bed.

Location 2
Set on the shores of the spectacular Waterloo Bay,it is famed for its beautiful sunsets, breathtaking scenery, surfing, fishing and wildlife.
It’s the embodiment of a seaside town!
Swim, surf, dive and float your way to paradise – there’s plenty of fishing opportunities, including the Australian Salmon Fishing Championship every year, and keep an eye out for sea lions and Southern Right Whales in the winter.
And for the surfers amongst you? Trust me, you’ll feel right at home.

Location 3
You may know this town for its gorgeous painted silos – but this thriving farming community has more to offer than a quick stop and a photo opportunity.
As the eastern gateway to the Gawler Ranges,it provides a great base to explore the national park. Discover history at the local museum, check out the walking trails and local art and enjoy the small town hospitality of the welcoming locals.

Enjoy the country-town atmosphere as you relax, recharge, and explore the history and landscape of the local area.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Specialist Ahrpa registration FACRRM FRACGP
  • Must have or be enrolled for ALS2 course or equivalent
