Senior Mental Health Clinician – ATODS | Community
Location: Roma, Queensland
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Allied Health professional (HP4) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team in Southwest Queensland. In this role, you will provide specialist community-based assessment, treatment, intervention and education to individuals who have alcohol and other drug issues that are impacting on their lives and the lives of those around them. In this role you will provide outreach services to Roma and surrounding rural areas within the South West Hospital and Health Service in keeping with national and state standards and requirements. This position reports to the Team Leader, Mental Health, Alcohol and Drugs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consumer-centred care in accordance with national standards and guidelines for mental health services.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and high-quality assessments, care planning, and evaluation.
- Advocate for the needs of clients, their families, and carers, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide effective care planning and service coordination.
- Participate in service improvement and quality activities, including clinical audits, practice development, and research.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in compliance with Queensland Health policies.
- Contribute to program evaluation and ongoing service development.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and professional registration (Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker) with the appropriate Australian regulatory body.
- Queensland ‘C’ class driver’s license.
- Current vaccinations and health screening as per Queensland Health directives.
