On behalf of our client in South Australia, we are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join the Integrated Mental Health Service working across both Inpatients and Community. Offering Social Work generalist services across Inpatients and managing a complex community caseload. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the Social Worker utilises a combination of preventative, early intervention, therapeutic or intervention and evaluation approaches including individual and family therapeutic approaches and group programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise core mental health skills and knowledge to offer a quality and safe mental health service to consumers with a severe and enduring mental illness within a multidisciplinary context
- Contribute to the coordination and delivery of high quality, comprehensive and integrated Social Work services to eligible mental health consumers
- Apply clinical skills to a broad scope of practice, delivering services which promote self-determination and connectedness, and are appropriate to the local rural context
- Apply social work knowledge, skills and values in facilitating change and recovery with consumers and their families, supporters and communities
- Coordinate an increasingly complex mental health Social Work caseload and support other team members in managing the demands of the service
- Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team with clinical and administrative duties
- Actively participate in regular team meetings, and in a duty roster system for intake of referrals
- From the Social Work professional stream, contribute actively and constructively to consumer care planning by offering a discipline perspective
- Work effectively with other agencies to ensure that consumers can access coordinated care appropriate to their needs
- Allocate and coordinate the delivery of individual psychosocial support package
- Contribute to the improvements in health outcomes by applying mental health care principles to the development and delivery of services to consumers
- Actively participate within the regional LHN’s Social Work Professional Network and regional LHN MH service professional development activities where these are offered
- Contribute to the supervision of students on clinical placement within the Social Work profession
About You
- Completed recognised qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the AASW
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant Mental Health Field, working in rural/remote context
- Demonstrated clinical skills and competency at AHP2 Level
- Well developed time-management, prioritisation, adaptability, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team structure
- Current driver’s licence
Salary
– Excellent casual rates paying up to $58-67p/h plus super (based on experience)
