The Role :
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Experienced DON looking for an opportunity to grow and really make their mark with a Aged Care Facility. You Take charge of this 24 bed aged care residential facility, overseeing up to 50 multi-disciplinary team members whilst working closely with your Nurse Unit Manger. You will demonstrate leadership in managing the care team. Experience in accreditation and ACFI across aged or acute care is necessary also. Your excellent time management will be necessary in organising and prioritising this busy workload, while your excellent communication skills will be utilised in frequent communication with management and facility staff. You will be well versed in budgeting and a seasoned Clinical Nurse. This is a wonderful chance for you to really make a facility and a role your own!
You will be based in a small rural community in North-West Victoria, four hours’ drive from Melbourne. This town has a successful sporting community, with an active football league and netball club. The location is ideal for day trips to the nearby Grampains and renowned Victorian wineries. This is a great location for families, with both local primary and high schools. You will enjoy the great country lifestyle this role provides.

In order to be successful, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Experience within a similar role, with a strong managerial background, strong experience with performance management
- A high Level of clinical experience across all aspects of Aged Care
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with HR, financial management, quality improvement
- Experience in project management and strategic planning.
Upon appointment you will be entitled to the following:
- Salary up to $125K (based on experience)
