THE ROLE
You will be the Health service manager of Wilcannia multipurpose site, Hours of work- will be Monday- Friday (8.30- 5 pm).
On-site, you will be managing 20 FTE staff, mixed with a multidisciplinary teams. This site offers ED, aged care and assist with running of the ambulance call outs from the clinic and liaising with the Royal Flying Drs service. You will need to have the following experience for this HSM role, kpis budgets, rosters and saving strategies and managing staff in rural and remote community.
You will need to have a strong background in ED and current triage and ALS, as there is no GPs on site.

THE LOCATION

Based in a small remote community with a population of around 600 people, 80% of the population are Indigenous Australian.
A beautiful area, close to the darling river with lovely old sandstone building. in town there is a pub, hotel, coffee shop, supermarket, chemist, police station and post office.Although the position is located in a beautiful area, the location can also be very challenging and isolating, so would suit somebody who has experience working in a remote Indigenous community.

   
THE CRITERIA:
As the successful applicant you will need to have:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • General AHPRA registration
  • Masters
  • Working with Children check + Police check
  • Current immunisations
