As the senior Registered Nurse, you will be working in a busy rural health service in a small indigenous community NSW You will be wanted for a 3 month contract on a 7-day rotating roster and you will job share the  AM, PM on-call roster with the other designated registered nurse. In this role, you will be required to work in the emergency and aged care department, which also involves ambulance callouts. 

As the successful applicant, you will be offered

  •  Total Package Up to $45/ hour  
  • 10 % casual loading penalties

Based in a small remote community in Wilcannia with a population of around 600 people, 80% of the population are Indigenous Australian. 
A beautiful area, close to the darling river with lovely old sandstone building.
In town, there is a pub, hotel, coffee shop, supermarket, chemist, police station and a post office.
Although the position is located in a beautiful area, the location can also be very challenging and isolating, so would suit somebody who has experience working in a remote Indigenous community. 

As the successful applicant you will need to have:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • General AHPRA registration
  • Advanced Life Support
  • Triage experience
  • Rural and remote experience
  • 3 + Years working in Australia
  • Current police check
  • Full serology of immunisations
