About the role: Join a dynamic multidisciplinary Mental Health Service committed to providing high-quality mental health care. As a key member of the Consultation and Liaison (CL) team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing mental health services in Tasmania.

Dates: 3rd April 2024 to 6th of September 2024

Roster: 38h per forthnight

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Consultation and Liaison team to deliver comprehensive mental health care.
  • Provide crisis assessment service to mental health clients who are admitted to the Crisis Assessment Team.
  • Adhere to established Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, and relevant legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide expert consultation on mental health matters.
  • May be required to assist in other Mental Health inpatient services as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Medical degree and current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • RANZCP Fellowship or equivalent.
  • RANZCP SUPERVISOR CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE
  • Extensive experience in mental health care, particularly in Consultation and Liaison settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
