We are seeking a Menta Health clinician for a 12 week locum assignment in Bunbury – two hours from Perth. The clinician will plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate culturally appropriate mental health service, using individual, group and community based strategies. You will work in multi-disciplinary team whilst liaising and consulting with regional Mental Health staff, government and non government agencies on professional and social issues. You will liaise with carers and families and organises and assists in the coordination of family meetings and documents accordingly. You will also participate in discharge planning, makes recommendations for further management and resources for care coordination on discharge.

  
Key Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, delivers and evaluates a culturally appropriate Social Work service, using individual, group and community based strategies.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary teams and programs as appropriate.
  • Liaises and consults with regional Mental Health staff, government and nongovernment agencies on professional and social issues.
  • Participates in a quality approach to service delivery.
  • Liaises with carers and families and organises and assists in the coordination of family meetings and documents accordingly.

About You 

  • Completed Qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy.
  • Eligibility with AASW or current AHPRA registration depending on discipline
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of individual, group and community based Social Work.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, oral presentations and group work.
  • Demonstrated experience in casework practice.
  • Demonstrated effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multicultural and cross-cultural issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Aboriginal cultural Respect Framework
  • Current National Police Certificate. 
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current Working With Children Check or eligibility to obtain
  • Full Vaccination against:

– Covid 19 including booster
– varicella (chicken pox)
– pertussis (whooping cough)
– hepatitis B
– current years influenza
  
Remuneration Package
Generous Agency Rates based on your experience and speciality paying up to $58 per hour + Super + Free Single Accommodation + Travel Allowance.
