We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician/Social Worker to join a well established team of Social Workers and advisors in Brisbane Southern suburbs who support clients who have suffered a work-related psychological injury. This service provides community support to people accessing the service who have psychosocial impacts related to the worker’s compensation process. The service is accessed to any Queensland worker based across QLD who can attend their appointments in person, via phone or video call.
  
This position is three days per week (Permanent Part time) the successful applicant can choose their days – three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial needs assessments for clients based on individual needs.
• Apply independent professional judgement and high-level problem-solving skills to a complex case load to achieve positive outcomes which meet individual client goals.
• Apply therapeutic support to meet the individual needs of workers.
• Establishing networks with key community support groups and organisations, including Centrelink and training organisations.
• Building networks and relationships to further promote the service among key stakeholders.
• Recommending a diverse range of interventions that align with the clients needs.
• Educate and engage the worker with community support services.

  
About You

• Completed Qualification in Social Work
• Professional Membership with AASW or eligibility to obtain if successful.
• Previous experience in undertaking intake and assessment
• Previous case management experience supporting clients in a holistic manner
• Demonstrated experience in Community Outreach as a social worker
• Experience in Mental Health setting (desirable but not essential)
• Current Blue card, National Police Check or eligibility to obtain
• Current open drivers licence

Salary

• Hourly Rate of $60 P/h + Super P.A
