This Christmas, Cornerstone Medical Recruitment (cmr) is proud to shine a light on our partnership with Red Dust, a collaboration grounded in shared values of connection, culture, and community care.
Red Dust has been working alongside remote Northern Territory communities for over two decades, co-designing programs that support the wellbeing of young people through cultural strength, positive role modelling, and practical health education.

Our partnership with Red Dust reflects more than a seasonal gesture. It’s a commitment to supporting initiatives that align with our purpose: building a happier, healthier Australia, starting with the communities who need it most.
This year, we’ve made a donation on behalf of our community, to Red Dust to support their vital work. This contribution will help fund:
Healthy Living Programs delivered in schools
Strong Young Men & Boys programs
Strong Young Women programs

These programs are led by Indigenous and non-Indigenous role models who foster trust and connection, promote cultural pride, and empower the next generation to thrive.
“We’re proud to support work that strengthens connection, culture and brighter futures. Our partnership with Red Dust is deeply aligned with who we are at cmr. Just as we support healthcare professionals in finding roles that make a difference, Red Dust is doing powerful work to uplift young people in remote communities, through health, education and cultural connection.”
Samantha Miklos, cmr Founder & CEO
We believe impactful partnerships are built on shared purpose. Just as we support healthcare professionals in finding roles that make a difference, Red Dust empowers young people to grow into healthy, confident leaders in their communities.
Our partnership with Red Dust is one way we continue to give back on behalf of the incredible clients and candidates who make up our cmr community. Thank you for the impact you’ve made this year, your work continues to ripple far beyond your placements.

At Cornerstone Medical Recruitment (cmr), our healthcare Christmas parties are more than just a festive get together, they’re a heartfelt way to celebrate, connect and say thank you to our community of healthcare workers who make a difference in communities across Australia.
Every year, we hit the road to host in-person events for our incredible candidates, many of whom are working away from home during the holidays. This year, we brought the Christmas cheer to Darwin, Hervey Bay, and Berri, and proudly hosted our very first party in Brisbane.

These healthcare Christmas parties are our way of creating space for connection, especially for agency healthcare workers and travel nurses, doctors and allied health professionals, who often spend the season far from family and friends. We know how important it is to feel seen and supported, and these events are a small but meaningful way to bring our community together.

For us, these in person moments of connection are a natural extension of how we support our candidates year-round. Whether you’re a travel nurse in remote Australia or a doctor in a bustling regional centre, we want you to feel part of something bigger. Because at cmr, being an agency healthcare worker isn’t just about the placement, it’s about the people and the journey we’re on together.

We’re proud to work alongside professionals who give so much of themselves every day. These events are just one of the ways we give back and celebrate that commitment.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this year. We’re already counting down to next year!
Cornerstone Medical Recruitment (cmr) is proud to announce that Your Doctor Jobs (YDJ), an award-winning boutique doctor recruitment agency, has officially joined the cmr family.
This marks cmr’s first acquisition and a major milestone in its mission to create a happier, stronger healthcare workforce. Both cmr and YDJ share a commitment to personalised service, trusted relationships, and genuine care for Australia’s healthcare community.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this acquisition. This isn’t about one brand absorbing another – it’s about amplifying what makes each of us great. Together, we’re building a happier healthcare workforce with heart, expanding our capacity, reach, and impact in the doctors division, and unlocking new ways to serve our communities even better.”
— Samantha Miklos, CEO, cmr

Stronger Together
For Samantha Miklos and Justin Smith, this partnership represents Stronger Together moment, one built on shared values, mutual respect, and incredible synergy between both teams.
cmr has been selective by design, choosing YDJ as a partner whose relationship-driven approach perfectly mirrors its own. With deep respect for the YDJ legacy and the momentum already building, both leaders are excited for what’s ahead.
Expanding Reach, Deepening Impact
With strong foundations already in place – from enhanced tech and systems to a people-first culture – cmr is ready to take its growth to the next level. This partnership strengthens cmr’s doctor recruitment division, expanding support for more clients, more candidates, and more communities across Australia.
The future’s looking bright and for cmr and YDJ, this is only the beginning.
At Cornerstone Medical Recruitment (cmr), we’re always listening to what our clients need. And over the past year, what we’ve heard has been clear: the healthcare landscape is shifting fast. Budgets are tightening, great candidates are harder to find, and the pressure to deliver exceptional care keeps growing. That’s why we’re evolving our approach and strengthening our nursing workforce strategy with the right people leading the way.
We’re delighted to welcome Libby Warner as our new General Manager of Nursing & Midwifery. Libby joins us while our much-loved General Manager Janine Johnson takes some well-deserved parental leave. When Janine returns, the two will lead the division together, combining deep recruitment expertise with rich, lived clinical experience to strengthen our nursing workforce strategy.
“I’ve worked my way from EEN to RN to Nurse Unit Manager, and then into national recruitment leadership. I know what it’s like on the floor and how hospitals really function. That knowledge is critical to finding the right workforce solutions.”
Libby Warner

Libby brings more than 20 years of nursing experience and six years in senior recruitment leadership to the role. She’s joined cmr at a time when many services are moving beyond “we just need staff” to “we need the right people, placed with purpose.” It’s a mindset shift and it’s exactly where our nursing workforce strategy comes in.
“We’re having deeper conversations with clients, about what’s really missing, what’s possible, and how we can get creative. Value isn’t just about price; it’s about fit, retention, and impact. That’s what we’re focused on.”
Libby Warner
Libby’s clinical insight perfectly complements Janine’s recruitment leadership. Together with the wider cmr team, they’ll support services across Australia to move from reactive hiring to confident, proactive nursing workforce strategy planning.
“We want our clients to walk away saying, ‘I know what I’m paying for and it’s worth it.’ Because the result is a long-term solution, not just a fill.”
– Janine Johnson
With Libby now on board and Janine returning soon, our Nursing & Midwifery division is more equipped than ever to support our clients. Together, they bring a powerful combination of clinical insight and strategic know-how, offering thoughtful, tailored guidance to shape your nursing workforce strategy.
With a deep understanding of regional challenges and on-the-ground realities, they’re focused on delivering quality placements that feel like the right fit, not just on paper, but in practice. Whether it’s navigating housing and funding hurdles or mentoring our internal team to keep lifting the bar, their goal is to create lasting, practical solutions that help you build a stronger, more sustainable workforce.
Whether you’ve partnered with cmr for years or you’re just getting to know us, now’s a great time to reach out. We’re here to talk strategy, share insights, and work with you to build a nursing workforce strategy that’s not just fit for today but strong for the future.
