We are looking for experienced registered General Practitioners to support our dynamic virtual health service for members in Australia.

This service covers the interpretation of medical records, diagnosis, and recommendations for additional testing and/or treatment. Members can seek advice and guidance for serious medical conditions such as cancer, stroke, and heart problems, as well as non-critical conditions like chronic skin conditions, allergies, and back pain.

The process begins with an online video consultation with a General Practitioner, who then oversees the case, obtains necessary medical records for review, and prepares a clinical summary to support the global expert’s assessment.

What you’ll be doing

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing cases for members requesting Expert Medical Opinion or Treatment Decision Support services.
  • Conducting video conferences with members for medical interviews to gather information about their clinical history and medical concern/inquiry.
  • Liaising with our team of Member Experience Coordinators to ensure members receive regular updates on their case progress.
  • Assisting our Medical Records Coordination team in gathering medical records as required by expert reviewers.
  • Incorporating relevant test results or images for expert review.
  • Completing a clinical summary and outlining member questions for the expert.
  • Collaborating in aspects of expert selection.
  • Receiving and reviewing expert opinions for final reports.
  • Writing a cover letter for the final report.
  • Discussing final reports with members via phone calls.
  • Providing written responses to “Ask a GP” inquiries via our client’s online portal

Additionally:

  • You should be an experienced registered General Practitioner comfortable working in a virtual environmen
  • You must be fully registered without limitation under AHRPA and possess professional indemnity insurance.
  • You should hold Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).As this is a contract role, you must provide an ABN or the name of your affiliated registered practice for invoicing purposes.
  • You should have an appropriate home or office workspace and technology to facilitate service delivery, including video conferencing.
  • You can meet deadlines and are comfortable managing new patients regularly.
  • You are proficient in using IT systems and following procedural guidelines.
  • You have excellent patient communication skills and are committed to making a difference in our members’ lives.

Benefits:

A competitive remuneration is provided based on hours worked and services provided. While services are available between 8am to 8pm AEDT weekdays, we offer flexibility, allowing you to choose when and how many hours you work.
