Job Title: Clinical Manager (Aged Care)
Location: Sunshine Coast

We are currently seeking a dedicated Clinical Manager to guide and mentor the clinical and care team at one of our clients aged care facilities on the Sunshine Coast.

About the Role: As the Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall delivery of evidence-based, high-quality clinical care. You will assist the Service Manager in managing services and providing operational guidance to staff, ensuring smooth and efficient care operations. Additionally, you will serve as a clinical consultant for nursing care matters.

About You:

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration
  • 1 year experience as a Clinical Manager in Residential Aged Care Services
  • Understanding and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs
  • Strong communicator at all management levels, with staff, care recipients, and their representatives
  • Initiative-driven problem solver who collaborates effectively with the Clinical Governance and Quality Managers
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, especially in nurturing relationships with older individuals, general practitioners, and other healthcare providers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate approachable leadership by example, mentoring a diverse team across clinical and care domains
  • Foster effective communication, ensuring each resident and their representative’s participation in care plan development and implementation
  • Ensure evidence-based best practices in care provision, meticulously documented
  • Stay abreast of legislative and best practice requirements and changes
  • Participate in end-to-end recruitment, replacement, and assessment of employees as required
  • Assist in fortnightly roster preparation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of management systems
