About the Organisation:

The health service operates a 700-bed facility, attending to more than 45,000 inpatients annually, with over 65,000 emergency attendees and over 1,600 new births each year. They provide a comprehensive range of medical services including emergency care, maternity, psychiatric care, and much more, catering to the needs of the Loddon Mallee region.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
As the Mental Health Lead Clinician, you will work within an integrated community mental health team under the guidance of the Manager and team Psychiatrist. Key responsibilities include:
· Conducting intake coordination, assessments, and clinical treatments, including crisis interventions and case management.
· Providing psycho-education and support to patients, families, and carers.
· Formulating, documenting, and monitoring Individual Service Plans (ISPs) in consultation with patients, families, and other care providers.
· Collaborating with community agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive rehabilitation, recovery, and discharge planning.
· Participating in community consultation, awareness, and education activities.
· Providing discipline-specific advice to team members and guidance to junior staff and students.
· Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends as directed.
To be considered:
· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Social Work, or Applied Science with post-graduate qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
· Post-graduate diploma in psychiatric/mental health nursing or related field, or equivalent.
· Minimum two years of relevant work experience in mental health settings.
· Knowledge and experience in community-based psychiatric triage, assessment, and treatment.
· Familiarity with the Mental Health Act 2014 and relevant psychiatric service frameworks.
Mandatory Requirements:
· National Police Record Check.
· Compliance with Immunization Policy.
· Registration with Professional Regulatory Body or relevant Professional Association.
· Valid Victorian driver’s license.
