Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality midwifery care to women and newborns in remote communities.
  • Perform prenatal check-ups, monitor pregnancies, and assist with labor and delivery.
  • Offer postpartum care and support for breastfeeding, recovery, and newborn health.
  • Educate and support families on various aspects of pregnancy and infant care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and local organizations.
  • Document and maintain patient records accurately.

About you:

  • 2 + years working in a rural and remote setting
  • Must be competent and willing to travel to remote communities
  • Working With Children Care (NT specific “Ochre Card”) or be willing to gain this
  • Have current, recognised Immunisation provider certificate (AGV); (Every 3 years)
  • Have current Maternity emergency management (MEC) or midwifery upskill or a commitment to completion within 6 months of first placement with CAHS PHC (remote) (Every 3 years)
  • BLS (Annually)
  • Must be ISTAT competent, certified and have access number
