Cornerstone Medical Recruitment are seeking dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join the Community Adult teams located in Warrnambool, Camperdown, Portland, or Hamilton for a short term contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing recovery-oriented and trauma-informed management, leveraging natural and existing community supports. This role involves delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and treatment services, engaging directly with consumers, carers, and various services to offer individualised biological, psychological, and social interventions based on consumers’ expressed needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consumer Engagement and Treatment Planning:
  • Develop and review individualised recovery and treatment plans in collaboration with consumers and their support networks, fostering hope, self-identity, meaning, and personal responsibility.
  • Maintain a caseload of individuals experiencing mental health concerns, providing tailored clinical treatment.

Clinical Treatment and Case Management:

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide direct clinical treatment, including assessments and intensive case management, using evidence-based interventions. You’ll collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and referrals and liaise with community groups to enhance service integration. Your role includes engaging in community development, continuous improvement projects, and ensuring accurate documentation. You’ll also participate in professional development, deliver training, adhere to high standards of practice, and contribute your expertise to support consumers and colleagues.

To Be Eligible, You Must:

  • Be an Australian resident or possess a valid working Visa.
  • Maintain a current AHPRA registration with no conditions or limitations.
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years’ recent experience in a mental health setting of your specialty.
