Position: Consultant Psychiatrist – DVA

We are seeking a motivated, self-driven, and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join an amazing multidisciplinary team. Our Client offers a wide range of health services, catering to both private patients and a significant cohort of DVA (Department of Veterans’ Affairs) clients. In this vital role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the unique challenges faced by veterans and serving members
• Develop personalized treatment plans
• Manage medications to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD
• Provide therapeutic support through evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
• Support with the prepartion of DVA reports
• Educate patients and their families about mental health and available resources
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care
• Provide specialised care and support to veterans, understanding the unique challenges they face and offering tailored interventions.

Essential Criteria:

• Specialist Registration with AHPRA and RANZCP Fellowship
• Eligibility for Medicare provider registration
• Experience in veteran’s health, PTSD presentations, and chronic pain management
