We are seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for travel nursing contracts across South Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a variety of regional, and remote hospitals while enjoying flexible contract lengths, competitive pay, and travel and accommodation support.

As an ED Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred emergency care in fast-paced clinical environments. You will be responsible for assessing and managing a diverse range of acute presentations, responding effectively in emergency situations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation while delivering safe, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care across a broad range of clinical presentations.

  • Perform patient assessments and prioritise care using recognised triage principles.

  • Provide advanced care in resuscitation and critical care situations.

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical policies and procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health teams.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and professional practice guidelines.

Essential Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an Emergency Department.

  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.

  • Triage exposure and/or current triage certification.

  • Current Resuscitation (Resus) certification/competency.

  • Demonstrated ability to work confidently in high-acuity emergency settings.

  • Excellent communication, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills.

  • Flexibility to travel and work across various South Australian locations.

  • National Police Check and relevant immunisation records (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in regional and remote healthcare settings.
