I have had an outstanding experience working with this team. From the very beginning, their communication has been exceptional. Every question was answered promptly, clearly, and professionally. The coordination throughout the entire process was seamless, making everything straightforward and stress-free. What impressed me most was the genuinely friendly and supportive attitude of everyone involved. They treated me with respect, kindness, and professionalism at every stage, which made a significant difference to my overall experience. Their organisation, attention to detail, and commitment to helping both candidates and clients are truly commendable. It is rare to find a team that combines efficiency with such a personal and caring approach. One particular aspect that deserves special recognition is their fairness and integrity. Without me even requesting it, they proactively reviewed and increased my remuneration, which demonstrates how much they value and appreciate the people they work with. This level of professionalism and goodwill is uncommon and speaks volumes about their culture and values. I would highly recommend them to any healthcare professional looking for a recruitment team that is responsive, trustworthy, supportive, and genuinely invested in achieving the best outcomes for everyone involved. Thank you for such a positive experience. It has been a pleasure working with you.

How do I know if I have the Stream A qualifications needed to work in Australia?

  • You will need to complete a self-check via the APHRA (Australian Nurses and Midwifery National Board) Website if you want to work in Australia.
  • The three streams (outcomes) are:
    • Stream A – IQNMs who hold a qualification considered to be substantially equivalent, or based on similar competencies, to an approved qualification.
    • Stream B – IQNMs who hold a qualification that is relevant to the profession, but is not substantially equivalent, nor based on similar competencies to an approved qualification.

  • For more details – please visit: Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

What are the main types of work visas available?

  • There are several types of work visas in Australia, including the Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482), Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186), and Working Holiday visa (subclass 417 or 462), among others. Each visa has its own eligibility criteria and conditions.

How do I find job opportunities in Australia?

We recruit for a diverse range of locum, temp and permanent and our specialist recruiters also have roles that are not advertised. A healthcare career can take you all over Australia – and so can we. What are the requirements for getting a job in Australia?

  • The requirements vary depending on the job and visa type, but generally, you’ll need relevant skills and qualifications for the position you’re applying for. Some employers may also require you to undergo a skills assessment or meet certain English language proficiency requirements.

Do I need to have my qualifications recognised in Australia?

  • In some cases, yes. Certain professions and trades require formal recognition in Australia before you can work in those fields. This process is called skills assessment and is usually conducted by relevant Australian authorities or professional bodies.

How do I apply for a work visa?

  • The application process for a work visa varies depending on the type of visa you’re applying for. You’ll typically need to submit an online application, provide supporting documents, and pay the required fees. • We do recommend a minimum of 2 years experience in the specialty you are applying for not just based on the client needs but also so you can confidently transition in to a new health care system..

Is my experience and qualifications in the UK valid in Australia?

  • For a 186 via you will need to o a skills assessment, this is called an ANMAC assessment and recommend having this completed before applying. UK Skills are Valid but the assessment helps us get you the best visa option in you specialist area.

Do I need to get a registration in Australia?

  • Yes, you must be AHPRA registered before you begin work, again I would be organising this on application.

How do I get registration as a nurse or midwife in Australia?

  • The assessment for registration is separate to the assessment for skilled migration. The assessment for registration is conducted by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. You need to submit an application to Ahpra for assessment for registration and meet the requirements for registration.

  • If you hold current registration as a registered nurse, enrolled nurse or midwife your name will appear on Ahpra’s online public Register of Practitioners.

Do I need to register with AHPRA to work as a doctor in Australia?

  • Yes. To work as a doctor in Australia, you must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Medical Board of Australia.

  • Doctors new to practising in Australia are often granted Limited or Provisional Registration with a supervision level assigned by AHPRA. This is part of the medical registration process for international doctors. Most of our clients require at least Level 3 supervision, as many practices are unable to support Level 1 or Level 2 placements.
  • For more information, visit: Medical Board of Australia – Limited Registration.

What level of supervision do I need as a doctor to work with cmr?

  • Most of our current clients require a minimum of Level 3 supervision. Practices that offer Level 1 or Level 2 placements are rare, as they need additional infrastructure and senior oversight to support closer supervision.
  • If you’re currently on Level 1 or 2, we’re happy to keep your details on file for future opportunities that may support your registration.
