Your Next Chapter: A Midwifery Career in Tasmania

Picture this: crisp morning air rolling off the Tasman Sea, the call of nature as your backdrop, and a fulfilling career where every day brings purpose and connection. Tasmania—an island renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and welcoming spirit—is not just a destination; it’s a lifestyle waiting to be embraced by passionate midwives ready to make a difference.
Tasmania offers a unique combination of professional growth and lifestyle benefits. Whether you’re drawn to a vibrant city hospital, a regional health centre surrounded by breathtaking wilderness, or a coastal town with spectacular views, the state provides an ideal setting to make a meaningful impact in healthcare while enjoying an enviable way of life. Affordable living, strong community bonds, and access to fresh, local produce make it a haven for those seeking balance.
We have a large number of permanent Registered Midwifery roles available. As a Registered Midwife, you’ll provide a women-centred approach to care across antenatal, postnatal, and the birth suite. Working within a state-of-the-art facility (just over 4 years old) handling over 2,200 births annually, you’ll collaborate with a supportive healthcare team to deliver exceptional midwifery care.
Here’s what makes this journey extraordinary:
