About the Role

cmr is currently seeking experienced Emergency Registered Nurses to join a range of regional and rural health services across Queensland and or South Australia, NSW, Victoria & Tasmania.

These contracts offer the opportunity to work within diverse Emergency Department environments, from larger regional hospitals through to smaller rural facilities, while developing your clinical skills and experiencing a different side of nursing.

As an Emergency RN, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality patient care across a broad range of presentations and acuity levels. Depending on the facility, you may work across triage, acute treatment, resuscitation, paediatrics, fast-track and observation areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and prioritise care according to clinical urgency.
• Undertake triage and accurately assess patients using the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS) where required.
• Provide timely nursing interventions for patients presenting with acute and emergency conditions.
• Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration.
• Participate in adult and paediatric resuscitation and emergency management.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
• Perform clinical procedures including IV cannulation, venepuncture, ECGs and wound management as required.
• Monitor patients and escalate concerns appropriately to medical and senior nursing staff.
• Work collaboratively with medical, allied health and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support safe patient flow, discharge planning and transfers to higher-level facilities when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with local policies, procedures and clinical standards.
• Demonstrate autonomy, adaptability and strong clinical decision-making within regional and rural environments.
