About the Role
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a specialised correctional health service in metropolitan Melbourne. Working as the sole OT, you’ll manage a diverse adult caseload while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This part-time locum offers flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of women within the correctional system.
- Independently manage Occupational Therapy referrals and interventions
- Complete functional, cognitive and rehabilitation assessments
- Support patients with complex physical, cognitive and ageing-related needs
- Assist with care planning and transition back into the community
Skills & Experience
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Grade 3 Occupational Therapist preferred
- Significant clinical experience working autonomously
- Experience in mental health, correctional, forensic, community, rehabilitation, aged care or complex adult caseloads highly regarded
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and communication skills
