Cornerstone Medical Recruitment’s specialist Midwifery Recruitment Team is seeking experienced Core and MGP Registered Midwives for upcoming contracts across a range of locations, including Weipa, Thursday Island, Bamaga, Cooktown and surrounding Cape York communities.

What’s on Offer

• Multiple Core & MGP Midwifery opportunities across the Torres & Cape region
• Opportunities in Weipa, Thursday Island, Bamaga, Cooktown and surrounding locations
• $70-$103/hr + super + penalties/ MGP loading
• Travel and accommodation support
• 6-12 week contracts, with potential for ongoing opportunities
• The opportunity to experience remote, rural and First Nations healthcare
• Dedicated consultant and supportive onboarding throughout your contract
• Opportunities across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal, MGP and community maternity services
• Potential for repeat contracts across the region

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
• Minimum 3 years’ recent midwifery experience
• MGP experience
• Recent birthing experience
• ALS
• FSEP
• CTG competency
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation
• MEP Advanced or equivalent
• CMs are expected to participate in portfolio and audit management as a senior staff member
• Epidural competency highly desirable
• Ability to work confidently in rural, remote and regional settings
