About the Role
As a Primary Mental Health Nurse, you will provide mental health assessment, support and care coordination for people within Victorian correctional facilities.
You will:
- Complete comprehensive mental health assessments.
- Undertake suicide and self-harm risk assessments.
- Develop and review recovery-focused care plans.
- Manage a mental health caseload.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and ongoing clinical support.
- Work collaboratively with medical professionals, specialist mental health teams and multidisciplinary healthcare providers.
About You
You are an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse with:
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing.
- Recent experience within mental health services.
- Strong assessment, communication and clinical decision-making skills.
Previous forensic or correctional health experience is highly regarded but not essential. This is an opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses who are ready to broaden their clinical experience and explore a unique area of practice.
