We are seeking Registered Nurses with Palliative Care experience to join the team at Broken Hill Base Hospital in Far West NSW.

Location: Broken Hill, NSW
Contract Length: 8-12 Weeks
Start Date: Ongoing contracts from now to December
Roster: Rotating roster, Monday-Sunday

About the Facility

Broken Hill Base Hospital is the major referral hospital for the Far West Local Health District, providing a broad range of services including Emergency, Medical and Surgical, Maternity, Mental Health, Renal Dialysis, Community Health and Palliative Care.

As an MM6 rural location, Broken Hill offers a unique opportunity to develop your clinical skills while experiencing one of Australia’s most iconic outback communities.

About the Role

The Palliative Care Service provides specialised care for patients living with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on comfort, dignity and quality of life.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering:

• Pain and symptom management
• End-of-life care
• Emotional and family support
• Holistic, patient-centred care planning
• Collaboration with medical, allied health and community services

Weekly Incentive Top-Ups

• RN 1.8+ – $150/week
• RN 5-7 – $120/week
• RN 2-5 – $100/week
• EN 1-5+ – $90/week

Requirements

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Recent Palliative Care nursing experience
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
• Full Australian working rights
