Red Dust’s Matched Giving Day Raises More Than $175,000 for Remote Communities
On Wednesday 20 May, Cornerstone Medical Recruitment (cmr) proudly joined Red Dust’s Matched Giving Day as a Giving Day Partner, helping amplify support for community-led programs across remote Australia.
The one-day fundraising campaign saw donations matched dollar-for-dollar by a collective of Giving Day Partners, doubling the impact of every contribution made. The funds raised will support Red Dust’s community-led programs focused on youth empowerment, education, employment pathways, wellbeing and leadership development in remote Australia.
Red Dust’s Matched Giving Day also held special significance, marking the organisation’s 20th anniversary. For two decades, the organisation has worked alongside remote communities to deliver programs that are shaped by local voices, strengths and aspirations, helping young people build confidence, resilience and brighter futures.

As a proud Giving Day Partner, cmr was honoured to support an initiative that closely aligns with its own purpose of building stronger communities and improving health outcomes across Australia.
Every day, cmr places healthcare professionals into rural, regional and remote communities across the country. Through these partnerships, the team sees firsthand the importance of community connection, local leadership and opportunities that allow people to thrive close to home. Supporting Red Dust’s work was a natural extension of those values.
“Working alongside healthcare professionals in rural and remote Australia gives us a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing these communities. Red Dust’s commitment to empowering young people and supporting community-led change reflects many of the values we hold close as an organisation.”
Samantha Miklos, cmr Founder & CEO
The partnership also reflects cmr’s commitment to community impact. Building meaningful connections, giving back and supporting initiatives that create lasting change are central to the organisation’s values and mission to create a happier healthcare workforce and a healthier Australia.
The overwhelming success of Red Dust’s Matched Giving Day demonstrates the power of collective action. Thanks to the generosity of donors, partners and supporters across the country, Red Dust exceeded its fundraising goal and will be able to expand its reach and impact even further.
For cmr, the day was a reminder that meaningful change happens when organisations, communities and individuals come together with a shared purpose.
Congratulations to the entire Red Dust team on a remarkable result and on 20 years of creating opportunities, strengthening communities and supporting the next generation of leaders across remote Australia. To explore Red Dust’s mission and the communities they support, visit reddust.org.au.
