THE ROLE:

• Provide strategic and clinical leadership as Head of Unit, helping shape the future direction of Obstetrics & Gynaecology services.
• Lead, mentor and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, accountability and high performance.
• Drive service innovation, quality improvement and clinical governance, ensuring safe, evidence-based care and continuously improving outcomes for women, babies and families.
• Build strong partnerships across the health service and wider community, supporting service development, workforce sustainability and access to high-quality women’s health services.
• Provide high-quality clinical care across antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal and gynaecological services.

CRITERIA:

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• MBBS or equivalent.
• Fellowship of RANZCOG OR FRACGP/FRACRRM/Vocational Recognition with significant GP Obstetric experience and appropriate RANZCOG training
• Eligibility for Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Demonstrated senior clinical experience within Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Strong clinical leadership, governance and service development experience.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient-centred, culturally safe and high-quality care.
• Successful completion of all required employment screening and health/immunisation requirements.
