Are you an experienced Clinical Psychologist looking to step into a role where your expertise can influence more than just your own caseload?

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior psychology leadership position within SALHN Mental Health Services, where you’ll help shape the way psychology services are delivered, support experienced clinicians and contribute to broader improvements across the mental health system.

Working closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll bring your clinical expertise, strategic thinking and passion for high-quality care to a role with genuine influence.

What you can expect

In this senior position, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide leadership and direction across psychology services.
  • Influence the development and improvement of mental health programs and services.
  • Act as a senior clinical resource for complex presentations and challenging clinical matters.
  • Work alongside experienced multidisciplinary and clinical leadership teams.
  • Strengthen supervision, mentoring and professional development opportunities for psychologists.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance clinical quality, governance and patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to education, research and the ongoing growth of the psychology profession.

About you

You’re an experienced Clinical Psychologist who enjoys combining strong clinical practice with leadership, collaboration and service improvement.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Appropriate psychology qualifications and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia in Clinical Psychology.
  • Significant experience supporting people with complex mental health needs.
  • Previous experience in a senior clinical, leadership or service development capacity.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, service improvement and workforce considerations.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and influence across multidisciplinary environments.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering evidence-informed, high-quality mental health care.

Why this opportunity?

This is a fantastic opportunity for a psychologist who is ready to broaden their impact, moving beyond direct clinical work to influence services, support other clinicians and contribute to meaningful change across mental health.

With flexible part-time hours, an ongoing appointment and AHP4 classification, this role offers the opportunity to combine senior professional responsibility with flexibility.
