Are you an experienced Residential Service Manager looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact? We’re seeking a resilient leader to oversee a large aged care residence in East Brisbane, supporting just under 200 residents.
This is an opportunity to lead meaningful change. Recent internal reviews have identified opportunities to strengthen clinical governance, operational performance, compliance, and overall service standards. We’re looking for someone who embraces a challenge and has the leadership capability to inspire teams, and drive lasting improvements.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a well-established clinical leadership team, including:
- 3 Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs)
- Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EENs)
- Assistants in Nursing (AINs)
About the Role
As Residential Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring exceptional clinical care, regulatory compliance, and a positive workplace culture. You’ll be instrumental in strengthening governance, improving operational outcomes, and leading a team committed to delivering high-quality resident-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong operational and clinical leadership across the residence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care quality and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation.
- Lead accreditation processes, audits, and quality improvement programs.
- Develop and support high-performing clinical and operational teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and resident-focused care.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor financial and operational performance to achieve key business objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Residential Service Manager or in a comparable senior leadership role within residential aged care.
- Demonstrated experience managing clinical governance, compliance, accreditation, and operational performance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a proven track record of leading organisational change.
- The resilience and determination to succeed in a complex environment while recognising the opportunity to create long-term positive outcomes.
