Under Australian law, as a cmr locum contractor, cmr is your employer, not the host facility where you’re working. That means it’s our responsibility to keep you safe and yours to report incidents to us directly. Reporting workplace injuries helps us meet our legal and WH&S obligations, and ensures you’re protected.
2. It prevents future incidents
Every injury reported gives us a chance to understand what went wrong and fix it. Reporting helps prevent the same thing happening to someone else.
3. It protects your rights
If you don’t report a workplace injury promptly, you may miss out on essential entitlements like medical cover, wage replacement, or rehab support. Reporting straight away helps us get you the care you need and keeps your options open.
4. Support starts sooner
When we know what’s happened, we can act quickly, whether that means adjusting duties, helping you access medical treatment, or simply checking in to see how you’re going.

What to do if you encounter a workplace injury
If you’re injured while working with cmr, here are the 6 key steps to follow:
1. Report the injury immediately to your facility and to cmr.
2. Seek medical attention if required
3. Document the incident via the incident report form in Mycmr
4. Complete a Workers Compensation Claim
5. Stay in contact with the cmr safety team
6. Follow your return-to-work plan
