The Role

In this role, you’ll be helping adults with mental health challenges in a community setting. Your day-to-day includes:

• Mental Health Assessments: Understanding what’s going on with your clients and helping them on their recovery journey.
• Crisis Support: Offering support in times of crisis and helping people through tough moments.
• Medication & Education: Managing medication and educating patients and their families about managing mental health.
• Teamwork: Collaborating with a friendly team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and Aboriginal Mental Health Workers.
• Caseload Management: Helping coordinate care and making sure the community gets the support they need.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a passion for mental health nursing, a team player who is ready to immerse themselves in the community and make a difference. You don’t need excessive credentialing-we just need nurses who are experienced in mental health care and are comfortable working in a remote community. A sense of adventure and flexibility is key!

Criteria

• Experience: You have at least 5 years’ experience in mental health nursing
• Communication Skills: You know how to connect with people and work well in a team.
• Driver’s License: You’ll need a valid driver’s license for this role.
• Flexibility: You’re open to committing to a 12-week contract in a regional or remote location.
